I am originally from Abruzzo, a small region in Central Italy that is rich in culinary tradition. Truth be told, I grew up in a stereotypical Italian family, with my Grandma making fresh pasta and mum baking cakes all the time, and I couldn’t be luckier. Although humble, ingredients were always fresh and genuine and mealtimes were synonymous of sharing, of bringing people together. And those are the values I treasure most to this day. As a young chef I wanted to push myself so I travelled throughout Italy gaining experience at two Michelin-starred restaurants – San Domenico in Imola and Perbellini near Verona.
In 2010 I moved to London and since, I’ve had several challenging roles: for Restaurant Dolada in Mayfair, at three Michelin-starred Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester and Knightsbridge’s Michelin starred Zafferano before being offered the position of Head Chef at the Italian Embassy. Stepping away from the pressure of Michelin stars, I was able to reconnect with my roots and with the sense of comfort, of home that is the very essence of my early aspirations in hospitality. Cooking for events, intimate dinners and large galas at the embassy, have boosted my ability to balance professionalism and etiquette with warmth and the personal touch.
In more recent years I’ve opened Tiramisoo Events, my catering and event company and set up a food, drink & restaurant consultancy service that allows me to take part in exciting projects and international exhibitions, which I am so grateful for. In 2016 I published my first cookbook, ‘4 Grosvenor Square’, The menu of the Italian Embassy in London’, both in English and Italian.

My first cookbook is a celebration of my time at the Italian Embassy in London, featuring recipes that reflect our day-to-day life; from business lunches to gala dinners, family meals and canapes receptions. Featuring authentic Italian dishes using beautiful Italian products. These dishes include pastas, risottos, main courses, desserts, breads and cakes, all of which can be easily recreated in the comfort of your own home.
The book is divided into sections based on the occasion. This provides an insight on how I plan my menus, however, like a meal in any Italian’s home my recipes are designed not to be rushed, they are to be enjoyed both in cooking and eating. I also wish to inspire you to create your own version of them.
