These Booking Terms & Conditions apply to culinary retreats and package holidays organised by Abruzzo Retreats Ltd in Abruzzo, Italy.

Please read them together with the itinerary, accommodation details, prices and booking information for your chosen retreat. By booking, you agree to these terms, subject to your statutory consumer rights.

01

About Us

Your retreat is organised by:

Abruzzo Retreats Ltd Company Registration Number: 17471970 Registered Office: 5th Floor, 167–169 Great Portland Street, London W1W 5PF, United Kingdom Email: info@danilocortellini.com Phone Number: +39 0861 1470210 Website: https\://www.danilocortellini.com

Abruzzo Retreats Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales.

Throughout these terms, "we", "us" and "our" refer to Abruzzo Retreats Ltd. "You" and "your" refer to the traveller or travellers included in a booking.

We organise non-flight-inclusive culinary retreat packages in Italy and act as the package organiser under the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018, where applicable.

Nothing in these terms limits your mandatory statutory rights.

02

Booking Your Retreat

Bookings are made through our website, subject to availability.

The lead traveller must be at least 18 years old and authorised to make the booking on behalf of all guests included in it.

A deposit of approximately 30% of the total booking price is required to reserve your place. The exact deposit amount will be displayed before payment.

After receiving your deposit and verifying availability, we will issue written booking confirmation by email.

Your booking becomes confirmed when we issue that confirmation. A payment receipt alone does not constitute confirmation.

If we are unable to accept your booking, any payment received will be refunded in full.

Please check your confirmation carefully and notify us promptly of any errors.

The agreed itinerary, accommodation arrangements, booking summary, accepted special requirements and these Booking Terms & Conditions form part of your contract.

A copy of your booking contract will be supplied by email or another durable medium.

03

Prices and Payments

All retreat prices are quoted in GBP unless otherwise specified.

The total booking price, room occupancy, deposit and outstanding balance will be clearly displayed or communicated before booking.

Deposit: Approximately 30% of the total booking price, payable by card at the time of booking.

Balance: The remaining amount is payable by bank transfer no later than 60 calendar days before the scheduled retreat start date.

For bookings made within 60 days of departure, full payment is required when booking.

Payment instructions and the exact balance due date will be provided in your booking confirmation or invoice.

Once your booking has been confirmed, the agreed package price will not be increased through subsequent exchange-rate or fuel surcharges. Additional services requested by you will be priced and agreed separately.

Late or Missing Payments

If your balance is not received by the due date, we will send a written payment reminder allowing seven calendar days to settle the outstanding amount.

If payment is not received within that period, we reserve the right to cancel your booking by written notice and release your accommodation and place to other guests.

Any cancellation charges arising from non-payment will be assessed in accordance with Section 6 and must be reasonable and justifiable.

We are not obliged to keep an unpaid reservation open indefinitely.

04

What Is Included in Your Retreat

Unless otherwise specified in the itinerary for your chosen departure, our standard culinary retreat includes:

Five nights' accommodation at Agriturismo Villa Fiore in Torano Nuovo, Abruzzo, in the room category booked.

Breakfast on each of the five mornings.

Five organised lunches.

Two organised dinners, including a welcome dinner and a fine-dining experience.

Wine pairings or selected drinks at organised meals, as specified in the itinerary.

Scheduled culinary and cultural activities, including visits to local producers, food experiences and an informal cooking class.

Scheduled group transport for the included excursions.

Scheduled return group transfers between Rome Tiburtina and the retreat accommodation.

Hosting and guidance by Chef Danilo Cortellini.

The exact activities, meals, transport arrangements and accommodation details for each departure will be described in the published itinerary.

The following are not included unless expressly stated:

Flights and independent travel to the designated meeting point.

Personal travel insurance.

Additional accommodation before or after the retreat.

Private airport transfers or transport outside the scheduled programme.

Meals and drinks during free evenings.

Optional activities, personal purchases and additional services.

Any other item not expressly described as included.

Additional or compulsory charges, where applicable, will be disclosed before booking.

05

Accommodation, Travel and the Itinerary

Our retreats are based in Abruzzo, Italy, with accommodation at Agriturismo Villa Fiore, unless a different property is expressly identified for a particular departure.

Room categories, occupancy and availability are specified when booking.

Our retreats are designed as small-group culinary and cultural experiences, rather than intensive cooking courses.

The itinerary may include visits to villages, wineries, farms, artisan producers, family-run restaurants and other local businesses.

Some experiences depend on seasonal availability, weather conditions and the operation of independent suppliers.

We may make minor adjustments to the order, timing or location of activities where reasonably necessary, provided the overall character and quality of the retreat are maintained.

Significant changes are dealt with under Section 9.

Transport

Scheduled return group transfers from Rome Tiburtina are included, at the times and meeting points communicated for the departure.

Flights are not included.

Private transfers from airports such as Pescara or Ancona may be arranged on request at an additional cost, subject to availability.

Guests are responsible for arranging their own travel to the designated meeting point and allowing sufficient time for connections.

If you miss an included transfer, please contact us promptly. We will try to assist with alternative arrangements, although additional costs may apply, subject to your statutory rights.

06

Cancellation by the Traveller

We understand that plans can change. If you wish to cancel your retreat, please notify us in writing at info@danilocortellini.com.

The effective cancellation date is the date on which we receive your written notice.

Unless you have a statutory right to cancel without charge, the following cancellation conditions will normally apply.

More than 120 days before departure

Your deposit will be refunded, less reasonable administrative costs incurred in processing and managing your booking.

Between 120 and 90 days before departure (inclusive)

A cancellation charge equivalent to 50% of the deposit will apply.

Any remaining deposit and other package payments received will be refunded.

Between 89 and 60 days before departure (inclusive)

A cancellation charge equivalent to 100% of the deposit will apply.

Any additional package payments received will be refunded, subject to applicable statutory rights.

Less than 60 days before departure

Cancellation charges of up to 100% of the total booking price may apply, depending on the circumstances and the losses reasonably arising from the cancellation.

These charges are not automatically fixed at the maximum amount.

Reasonableness of Cancellation Charges

Cancellation charges must be appropriate and justifiable, taking into account costs already incurred, expected savings, any recoverable supplier payments and income from reselling or otherwise using the cancelled place.

If the applicable standard charge exceeds what can reasonably be justified, it will be reduced accordingly.

Reasonable administrative costs may include genuinely incurred booking administration, payment processing and other directly attributable costs that cannot be recovered. We will not charge twice for the same loss.

We will explain and justify cancellation charges upon request.

Where possible, we will make reasonable efforts to resell cancelled places or accommodation and take account of any resulting savings or income.

Any refund due will be processed without undue delay and within 14 days of termination.

Alternative Dates and Replacement Travellers

Where practical, we may offer the possibility of transferring your booking to another available retreat date.

Such changes are subject to availability, any price difference, genuinely unrecoverable costs and our written agreement.

Alternatively, you may transfer your booking to another eligible traveller in accordance with Section 7.

We cannot guarantee an alternative date or replacement booking.

These options do not replace any refund or termination rights granted by law.

Extraordinary Circumstances

You may be entitled to cancel without paying a cancellation charge where unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances occurring at the destination or its immediate vicinity significantly affect the performance of the package or carriage to the destination, in accordance with the Package Travel Regulations.

Where this statutory right applies, all package payments will be refunded within 14 days, without additional compensation.

There is no general 14-day cooling-off right for these dated package travel bookings. This does not affect your other statutory rights.

07

Changes and Transfer of Your Booking

If you wish to amend your booking, please contact us in writing.

Changes to dates, room categories or guest details are subject to availability and any reasonable additional costs, which will be explained before the change is agreed.

You may transfer your package booking to another person who satisfies the applicable booking conditions by giving reasonable written notice before departure.

Notice given at least seven days before the start of the retreat will be considered reasonable.

You and the replacement traveller will be jointly responsible for any outstanding balance and the actual, reasonable costs of the transfer.

We will provide evidence of those additional costs upon request.

08

Cancellation by Abruzzo Retreats Ltd

Minimum Number of Participants

Our retreats require a minimum of six participants to operate.

If this minimum is not reached, Abruzzo Retreats Ltd reserves the right to cancel the retreat by notifying guests in writing no later than 30 calendar days before the scheduled departure date.

In this event, all payments received for the package will be refunded in full within 14 days of cancellation.

Guests may alternatively choose to transfer their booking to another available retreat date, subject to their agreement.

No additional compensation will be payable for cancellation solely due to the minimum number of participants not being reached, in accordance with applicable package travel legislation.

Unavoidable and Extraordinary Circumstances

We may also cancel a retreat if unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances prevent us from performing the package.

In such circumstances, we will notify guests without undue delay before the start of the retreat and refund all package payments within 14 days.

No additional compensation will be payable where the statutory conditions for cancellation without compensation are satisfied.

Other Cancellations by Us

If we cancel a retreat for another reason, we will provide the refunds and any additional compensation required by applicable law.

Where possible, we will offer an alternative departure, but accepting it will always be your choice.

We do not have an unrestricted right to cancel confirmed bookings without meeting our legal obligations.

09

Changes to the Retreat by Us

We may make insignificant changes to the itinerary, including adjustments to visiting times, the order of activities or substitution of a comparable experience where reasonably necessary.

We will communicate such changes clearly.

If we need to make a significant change to an essential feature of the package, cannot fulfil an expressly accepted special requirement, or propose a price increase where legally permitted, we will inform you in writing and explain your available options.

Depending on the circumstances, these may include accepting the change, accepting an alternative package or cancelling without a termination fee.

Any refund required following termination will be made within 14 days, without prejudice to applicable compensation rights.

We will not use minor itinerary changes to remove a principal advertised feature or materially reduce the value of the retreat without respecting your statutory rights.

10

Dietary Requirements, Allergies and Accessibility

We aim to accommodate reasonable dietary requirements wherever possible.

Please inform us of any food allergies, intolerances, dietary restrictions or accessibility needs before booking so that we can assess the suitability of the retreat and discuss available arrangements.

Our experiences often take place in small, independent restaurants, traditional kitchens, farms and artisan production facilities.

As a result, not every dietary requirement can necessarily be accommodated, and cross-contact with allergens may occur in shared food preparation environments.

We will communicate accepted requirements to relevant suppliers and take reasonable care, but we cannot promise an allergen-free environment unless expressly confirmed.

Guests should not assume that a request has been accepted until we have confirmed it.

Some activities involve walking through historic villages, cobbled streets, steps, uneven surfaces or rural environments.

Please contact us before booking if you have reduced mobility or require specific adjustments.

We will discuss relevant limitations and reasonable arrangements before confirming your booking.

11

Health, Safety and Guest Responsibilities

Guests are expected to follow reasonable safety instructions provided by hosts, guides and activity suppliers.

Cooking activities may involve hot surfaces, sharp utensils and food preparation equipment.

Wine tastings and alcoholic drinks are optional, and guests are encouraged to consume alcohol responsibly.

Guests must behave respectfully towards other participants, staff, suppliers and local communities.

We reserve the right to take proportionate action where a guest's behaviour creates a serious safety risk or substantially disrupts the retreat, subject to applicable legal rights.

Guests are responsible for damage they cause where legally liable.

Please take reasonable care of personal belongings and report any loss or damage promptly.

Nothing in this section excludes our liability where we or a supplier of an included service are legally responsible.

12

Travel Documents and Personal Travel Insurance

Guests are responsible for holding valid passports, visas and other documents necessary for travel.

We will provide the general passport, visa and health information required by applicable package travel law before booking.

Personal travel insurance is not included and is strongly recommended.

We recommend obtaining appropriate cover as soon as you book, including:

Trip cancellation and interruption.

Medical treatment and emergencies abroad.

Repatriation where necessary.

Travel delays and disruption.

Personal belongings and luggage.

Activities included in the retreat.

Please check the conditions and exclusions of your chosen policy.

Our public liability insurance and insolvency protection do not replace personal travel insurance.

13

Our Responsibilities as Package Organiser

Abruzzo Retreats Ltd is responsible for the proper performance of the travel services included in your package, whether those services are provided directly by us or by independent suppliers, in accordance with applicable package travel legislation.

If a travel service is not performed as agreed, please inform us without undue delay so that we can investigate and take appropriate steps to resolve the issue.

Where required by law, we will offer suitable remedies or alternatives and respect your rights to price reductions, compensation or termination.

We will provide appropriate assistance without undue delay if you experience difficulty during the retreat.

Such assistance may include information about health services, local authorities, consular assistance or alternative travel arrangements.

Where difficulties have been caused intentionally or negligently by a traveller, any assistance fee will be reasonable and limited to actual costs.

Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or restricted.

Any statutory limitations, applicable international conventions and rights to compensation remain unaffected.

14

Optional Activities and Independent Services

Optional experiences, additional meals, private transfers or other services may be available outside the standard itinerary.

We will explain any additional charges and identify whether an optional service forms part of your package or is purchased independently.

Where you enter into a separate agreement directly with an independent provider, that provider's terms may apply.

However, an activity included in your confirmed package cannot be reclassified as an independent service simply to avoid our legal responsibilities.

15

Complaints and Assistance

We want every guest to enjoy their retreat.

If you experience a problem during your stay, please inform your host or our designated contact as soon as reasonably possible so that we have an opportunity to assist.

If the matter cannot be resolved during the retreat, please contact us in writing: info@danilocortellini.com

Include your booking reference, a description of the issue and any relevant supporting information.

We aim to acknowledge written complaints within seven days and provide a substantive response within 28 days, keeping you informed if further investigation is required.

These response targets do not limit your statutory rights or applicable legal time limits.

Emergency contact details will be provided in your pre-departure information.
